ABOC Foundation Participated in the Distribution of Dangote Palliative to the Vulnerable in Kokona.

The ABOC Foundation, in partnership with the Nasarawa State government and other NGOs, joined forces on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, to distribute 2000 bags of 10 kg rice generously provided by the Aliko Dangote Foundation. This initiative served as a vital lifeline for the vulnerable community of Kokona local government in Nasarawa State.

Specifically, the ABOC Foundation took charge of delivering 200 bags of rice and 100 bags of millet to the Bassa ward in Kokona, ensuring that these essential provisions reached those who needed them most.

Beneficiary accreditation began promptly upon arrival, setting the stage for a seamless distribution process.

Alh. Ahmad Bola Oduleye, CEO of the ABOC Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Aliko Dangote Foundation for their pivotal support during the ongoing socioeconomic challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidies.

During the distribution event, His Excellency, Engr. A. A. Sule, the executive governor of Nasarawa State, graced the occasion, acknowledging the significant impact of the initiative. He extended apologies to the beneficiaries for any inconvenience caused by the wait under the sun, expressing deep appreciation to the commissioner of special duties and humanitarian services, the partnering NGOs, and the ABOC Foundation for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of the distribution statewide.

Governor Sule revealed that the Aliko Dangote Foundation’s nationwide donation of 1 million bags of 10 kg rice included Nasarawa State among its primary beneficiaries, with the Kokona distribution marking the conclusion of this impactful initiative in the state. He also commended the residents of Kokona for their commitment to peace and order, encouraging continued efforts as development, particularly through the mining sector, promises to bring prosperity to their doorstep.
